We’ve been members of Master Builders for nearly 10 years, and we love attending their House of the Year events and catching up with some of the other key figures in our industry – and winning obviously makes the night that much better!
House of the Year has now been running for more than 35 years and covers everything from renovations and builder’s own homes through to new builds across a wide range of budgets. Gold Awards are given to projects that reach the required judging standard, with entries needing to achieve at least 1,800 points.
The Auckland, Northland and Coromandel regional awards were held a couple weeks back at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, bringing together builders, architects, suppliers and others from across the residential construction industry for a night celebrating some of the best work happening around the region. To have such great people in the room and be able to come away with a gold make it’s only more special for our team.
Our entry was The Esplanade in Manly, the beachfront home we completed in collaboration with CA Architecture and our trusted group of subcontractors and suppliers. We’ve already shared plenty about the project itself, but it was great to see the quality of the finished build recognised alongside such a strong field of homes from across Auckland, Northland and the Coromandel.
A big congratulations as well to everyone recognised on the night. There was plenty to admire across all the categories, and it was a privilege to be part of it.
For us, awards like this are less about one night and more about all the work that happens before it. So, a huge thank you to our clients for trusting us with the project, to CA Architecture, and to every member of our team, subcontractor, consultant and supplier who played a part along the way. There are a lot of people behind a build like this, and the Gold belongs to all of them.
It was a great night, a great result, and one we’re very pleased to bring back to the NZ Builders team!
